my practice

I continue to uncover how powerful yoga can be as a practice of self-exploration and feel blessed to be on a path that reminds me to live with gratitude and intention.  Yoga inspires me to be real; it inspires to be me, on and off the mat. 

After a decade of practice and study, I've observed how my experience and understanding of yoga evolve as I do. The more I learn about yoga, the more I realize what really matters is what your yoga means to you. Ashtanga Yoga Master, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois said it best: “Yoga is 1% theory, 99% practice.”

I appreciate the variety of benefits that different styles of yoga have to offer and regularly practice: Yin Yoga, Vinyasa, meditation and Yoga Nidra. Yoga creates a space in my life where I direct my attention and energy to something that nourishes and strengthens me from the inside out. I explore and connect with my innermost self, to the sound of my breath and the beat of my heart.  

Being present in my practice helps me be present for others. When I take time to nourish myself, I have more to give.
